Dreamscape Ranch

I made a commitment to my 2 ponies in 2018 that they could retire from the city and live their best lives at Dreamscape.  They had provided me with years of enjoyment, but I felt it was time for them to live in a stress-free environment.   The care they receive at the ranch is over and above anything I have witnessed in 40 years of boarding horses. My ponies are now 32 and 28 and thriving because of the individual, hands-on care they receive. Years of experience in managing the health of senior horses is what separates Dreamscape from other place and I feel at ease with them so far away because I know they are surrounded by a community of people who love them as much as I do. 

A year and a half ago, I moved my horse to Dreamscape. Talking to Lea before the move, I knew that this would be a good move. Driving onto the property, a sense of calm and peace comes over me. The view is spectacular and the horses are all calm and happy. From the moment my horse got off the trailer, I was struck by the fact that they were very attentive to his needs. I have never seen such caring, compassionate people whose goal is to create a safe, happy atmosphere for each and every horse. The horse’s needs are paramount and duties are carried out with every attention to detail for the comfort and health of the horse’s. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my horse is given the absolute best care by loving, knowledgeable people. There is no better place for a horse to retire and be a horse!

Retiring horses is such an emotional decision—and we’ll admit, we had a lot of mixed feelings about it. That was until our first visit to Dreamscape Ranch. Now, looking back, the idea that we ever hesitated makes us smile. There truly is no better place for a horse, no matter their age, size, or medical needs.

From the moment you arrive, you feel it. The land itself is peaceful and restorative, and that sense of calm infuses everything they do. Then you meet Lea and her incredible team, and you see the deep love, knowledge, and devotion they bring to every horse in their care—from our big horses to our pony and little minis. But what changed everything for us was having our horses there long-term. That’s when we truly understood: as much as we love them and believed no one could care for them the way we do—Lea and her team somehow manage to do even more.

We so appreciate how they encourage visits. Every time we step onto the property, it feels like entering a dream—gentle, joyful, and full of life. And when it’s time to leave, the tears flow... but not for our horses. Because they’re exactly where they’re meant to be—living the dream.
